Counter-Strike Ninja Defuse FTW Video

You’re a gamer, so you’ll get this.  You know that feeling you get when you see a nostalgic video game that you poured so many fun, awesome hours into playing years ago?  Well, that was me a few minute ago when I saw this epic Counter-Strike ninja defuse video: I used to play CS Source all the freaking time back in my college days – we’re talking like 2004 folks, I’m getting old – but since then I just haven’t for whatever reason.  If you’ve played CS, then you’ll love this video. If you haven’t played CS you need to – it’s easily one of the best online games ever created, and if you’re just talking FPS games it could very well rank at the top of the list.

If you’re part of that sad, latter group I mentioned that for whatever lame reason has never played Counter-Strike in any of its flavors, let me bring you up to speed.  Yes, it’s a first person shooter, but Counter-Strike is solely an online game. There is no single player.  Is that a bad thing?  Not if you do it right, and CS does it right (it’s Valve, folks – Half-Life anyone?) The matches are lightning quick, and you either choose to be the terrorist side or the counter terrorist side, and unlike most FPS’s, it’s basically real-life rules, or in other words, one shot one kill.  This heightens the adrenaline, and makes people freak out like that german kid from that one hilarious CS rage video you probably all remember fondly.  The terrorist have to plant the bomb and successfully blow up the map – or kill all the counter terrorists first – while the CT’s well, you get the point.  The bottom line is that CS is an incredible game, and now I miss it like hell.  I guess that means I’ll be downloading Counter-Strike Global Offensive tonight!
