Comfort is a strange thing. We move toward it unconsciously at times, yet at others, we want nothing to do with it. We all have a favorite blanket/spot on the couch (don’t kid yourself). Mine is wedged in the corner of the couch and the chaise lounge in my sectional. It’s the best of both worlds.
What comforts do you have with online dating? What we’ve seen at LFGdating is the comfort of self-realization. Very Bhuddist of us – we know. What this means is that LFGdating members know who they are what they want. And coming from a thirty-something co-founder-slash-career-changing American male, that’s saying something.
To begin, starting the process of creating a profile with LFGdating shows that you are committed to being yourself. Our community is a community of gamers and gaming enthusiasts. While it may be easy to define yourself as what you are not, LFGdating members strive to show who they are. And that, for all intents and purposes, is the singular most fun aspect of running LFGdating. We love to game, and we love to game with others. It’s our hallmark trait.
Where does this comfort hold value? It holds the value of knowing oneself. People who create profiles on LFGdating don’t typically do so to skim the pond; they do so to find a significant other who makes them feel significant for what they do. What do they do? They game. They play games tirelessly at times. They fall asleep playing a game and dream about the solution to a puzzle. Then they wake up and figure out the puzzle. That’s what LFGdating members do. They make it happen.
Maybe it’s Clash of Clans, or Boom Beach, or World of Warcraft, but they don’t sleep well until their goal is accomplished and celebrated. So I ask again, where does comfort hold value? Your comfort has the value of using LFGdating to find another person when the person you want to find is like you: a gamer.
